He Was Talking To Me

That is what I heard today from every single friend I talked to about the message in church.  We started our series “Hey Jude” as we look through the book of Jude.  I have the privelege of working with a lot of new members of C3 and as we stood around and talked this afternoon one thing that stuck was consistent… God loves us because of our position, not our performance.  It is incredible to think upon the abundant mercy, peace and love that He promises the Christ follower.  It blows my mind to try to understand that nothing I do, or don’t do will ever remove me from the love of God.

Oh.. and we’ve all had The Beatles in our head all day.

Jumbled Thoughts

I really have had a lot on my mind lately but I have reached a peak in my work lately.  I’m very grateful for it but during these times I don’t get to take the time to process the thoughts a lot.  I promised a couple of days ago I was going to blog about some of the things I have been sorting through in my mind and feeling in my heart… and I will still get to it… but I’m wiped out lately.

I was off last weekend.  It was great but this week was definitely back to the crazy life.  I feel very on edge right now and I’m looking forward to my next day off…next Friday.  I’m excited about the extra stuff I have going on right now.  Tomorrow morning I have a really fun shoot with my friend Renee.  We will be doing makeup for a look book for a fashion show that we are doing next Thursday night at The Grand Bohemian.  The looks are going to be very edgy… goth inspired.  Black lips, thick heavy black liquid liner…. you know… your everyday stuff!  I live for being creative!  Natural and soft is beautiful for everyday but it can get monotonous for me.

I didn’t take time out this week to write about “The Bachlorette” finale.  I’m sooooo happy for DeAnna and Jesse… they are the sweetest and they are totally in love and are going to make it!  I don’t care what anyone says!  I loved him for her since the beginning!  I love love!  The show put me in a mushy mood that night.  I hope they televise the wedding… I’m so voyueristic!

My Space

I set up a My Space account a few weeks ago… again.  This time it is a site for my freelance makeup business.  Check it out.  I’m working on getting more pictures up from photographers I’ve worked with in the past but it has been difficult getting stuff.  There will be more to come and a website in the near future.  Check it out at www.myspace.com/frillsandfunkartistry.

I Know, I Know…

I must apologize for being dishonest.  I will not be posting a deep, insightful post tonight like I promised yesterday.  I’m sorry.  I’m exhausted!  I’ll do it soon but tonight I’ve learned a lesson so I’m not promising you when I’m going to do it because I want to follow through this time.

Thoughts On Today

-I’m so happy that today is Alison’s birthday!  Now she can be 30 with me!  She is a hot mama!

-I had some girls over today and did their makeup.  We did a very low budget photo shoot of face shots for my upcoming website.  It was fun!  Thanks Yessi, Tania, Chrissy, Katie, Ashley, and Karen.  You were the best models/hair stylists/photographer/art directors a girl could’ve asked for!  We started at 10am and ended at 6pm… long day but hilarious!

-I’m still on Weight Watchers and the smells of foods are so tempting!  I’ve resisted and will continue to though! :)

-I’m really exhausted and need a good night’s sleep!  I’ve been off of work for four days and I go back tomorrow… I need my beauty sleep!

Clean Water… Changed Lives

The Shane & Shane/Josh Wilson benefit concert was great!  There was an incredible response to the concert and all of the activities we had planned.  It was amazing meeting new people coming to check out all of the excitement.  There were so many faces I recognized from the neighborhood… people from the gym, neighbors, etc.  It was such a great thing to be able to show everyone what C3 is all about by holding a community event to raise money for clean water in Africa.  I’m constantly reminded and overwhelmed by the love my C3 family shows not only here in their own community but throughout the world.  Lives will be changed here and saved in Africa because of the generous gifts of many today.  Love Wins!
